Nevada County PAWS is a not for profit program that was founded in June of 2011 when we recognized the need for a program in our community that would proactively assist people in re-homing their pets. We understand that re-homing your pet can sometimes be an emotional and difficult decision. That’s why we are dedicated to providing support during the re-home process as well as information on available resources in our community.
About the photo above: Nevada County PAWS was inspired by and is dedicated to Snookie. She is in the picture above on your left. After being re-homed from a less than ideal situation, Snookie lived the last nine months of her precious life in total bliss thanks to the love and care of Sally and Ron. We are forever grateful.
Hi, I am looking to surrender and hopefully get my dog re-homed. He needs someone who can give him lots more attention than I can at this time and he is not suppose to be living in my rental. I’ve had him 13 years and would love to see him go to a home that would provide a ton a attention and love. He’s had many changes in his life and is just not the happy dog he used to be. I want him to be happy these last few years of his life.
Hello Shauntel, Please fill out the Pet Bio Form under the Forms drop down menu. Once you click on the submit button the form will come directly to me. I will also need at least 3 good pics of your dog. Please send them to my email, email@example.com. You can use my email going forward if you have any questions. Once I have all the info I will start networking to find your dog a new home. Please use my email if you have any questions. Lori
